Welcome to the New Hampshire Department of Peace Website -

We are a group of New Hampshire citizens committed to supporting the establishment of a U.S. Department of Peace and Non-Violence at the Cabinet Level!

This Department of Peace would be dedicated to the study of conditions that are conducive to both domestic and international peace and would be responsible for the development of policies that promote non-violent resolutions to national and international conflicts.

These are challenging times with war and violence filling our daily news reports. There are alternatives to violence. Creating a culture of peace for our country and for our world is of utmost importance.

This campaign is PRO - peace. We seek to educate and inspire people with knowledge, skill and enthusiasm to become powerful citizen activists on behalf of the Department of Peace legislation introduced in both houses of Congress in 2005 as H.R. 3760 and S. 1756. (Reintroduced in the 110th Congress as H.R. 808.)

We invite you to join us and help make this Department of Peace a reality. Together we can affect change and help make non-violence an organizing principle of our society!
